VRD Mountings

Description:

Vibracoustics Ltd VRD Mountings are available with or without 1 or 2 interleaves,  are produced to close stiffness tolerances for tuned isolation of main and auxiliary engines. 

VRD Sandwich mounting systems and design calculations are approved by Germanisher Lloyd, Lloyd’s Register of shipping, Det Norske Veritas, American Bureau of shipping, Bureau Veritas and USSR Register of shipping for main and auxiliary engines.

All rubber surfaces are painted with oil resistant paint.

Vibracoustics Ltd will, if required, undertake all suspension design calculations and advise on feasibility of preferred speed range requirements. To design a suitable system we require the following information:

•  Engine mass & CoG
•  Moments of inertia about 3 principal axes
•  Gearbox ratio
•  Number of propeller blades
•  Engine speed range
•  Coupling stiffness's
•  General arrangement drawing
